happy jetting!

After 2 weeks of Miami bliss, I’m back in NY thanks to my new favorite airline, jetBlue

Although we were delayed, my pleasant experience outweighed the negatives of the late arrival. legroom! free snacks! direct tv! no charge to check a bag?! jetBlue is where it’s at.

Also found myself a travel buddy who dressed me in diamonds and provided great company over some quality airport food & wine. Yuvi designs 2 amazing jewelry lines, Ruby Kobo and Shashi, which I can’t wait to get my hands on.

Below you can see me, with my hands on it.

White gold and diamonds surrounded by woven silk. looks good on me huh?

The $25 dollar fee for checking one piece of luggage is annoying. But the anxiety I get from waiting for my red duffle to come out on the carosel tops it all.
Next time I’ll take my $25 and my red duffle over to the UPS store and ship that sucker home, worry-free.

Up in the air

Remember the days of in-flight meals? How about when flight attendants used to smile? Or the time before they tricked you into paying 50 dollars to check your bags!?

Its difficult to smuggle our overpriced beauty products in a carry on… so leave them behind? or fork over the dough to check (and probably lose) your luggage?

Mom says she used to get dressed up to fly. Now we throw on leggings and a hoody and a pair of shoes convenient enough for the security check point. Not so glamourous these days. Add in delays, and swine flu, and flying can really take a toll on a carefree vacation

Done ranting. Leaving the ‘tude in New York. Off to MIA, courtesy of American Airlines.

i love college

Yes, there was cold rain, and my jacket was stolen. And sure, we waited in long lines and we lost at home to Penn State. But nothing can ever begin to take away from a weekend in Ann Arbor with my best friends, reliving the ridiculously amazing 4 years we spent at the University of Michigan

just like riding a bike, we still pregame (and dress) like champs

This picture is worth a 1000 words, but ill spare you the other 987

Much love for the Michigan marching band

until fall 2010

go blue

Ann Arbor or bust!

For someone with a lot an obscene amount of stuff, I am a pretty good packer. I’m not even in the vicinity of the “over-packer” label.

Not really sure how I do it? I always make a list of what to pack before I travel, yet I never reference the list while packing. I can pretty much take a trip anywhere for under a week and survive on the objects that fit in my weekender Le Sportsac + tote bag.

Not impressed? Remember I have size 9 feet so my shoes take up that much more space.

No packing job compares to that which goes into a trip to Ann Arbor for a football Saturday

the suite life

Came uptown to the London Hotel to visit with dad and order room service instead of braving the cold rain outside. Little did I know I was traveling to the top floor and dining in the Sky Suite.

He claims “this was the only room available”. Such a modest guy, I know he always travels in style.

There is surround sound in every room of the suite playing via the Van Morrison Pandora station via dads iphone.

Obviously im blogging and dad is working.
